Booth Appearances / Special Events
Hoo’s Woods extends its educational programs outside the classroom. From our walk through booth we lecture about birds of prey, talking one on one with your individual questions, and bring our message to literally hundreds of people. Our “Feathered Teachers” can be viewed from just a few feet away. Look for us at nature outings, scout events, craft fairs, and special events.

Raptor education programs are offered to public, private, home-school groups, scouts, camps, churches, civic groups, bird clubs, and hunters education. Our birds make learning a personal experience and are the best way to present wildlife education. Costs vary with the size of the group and the length of presentation. Typically a raptor program is one hour with time allowed for questions, and includes 3-4 live raptors appropriate for all ages. Eagle programs last one hour and are most appropriate for grades three and above. Please contact Dianne for fees and information at 608-883-2795. All donations go to facilitate our education efforts. Our education birds include: eagles, hawks, owls, falcons and vulture. |
